CHAMBERSBURG—A Chambersburg woman is facing charges of burglary and criminal trespass after a Sept. 27 incident.
According to Chambersburg Police, Kathiana Robert rang the doorbell of a Rachel Drive residence and when the owner answered the door, Robert attempted to push her way into the house.
The owner had to physically force Robert out of the residence. Robert went to another residence in the area and entered the house through an open garage door, according to police.
The owner was home at the time and was working outside. When the owner went inside, she noticed her bedroom door was shut and locked.
Robert was found by police locked inside the bathroom located inside the locked bedroom of the residence. Robert had attempted to steal clothing items from the owner’s residence and locked herself in the master bathroom while the owner was downstairs.
Robert is being held in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, awaiting an Oct. 5 hearing before Magisterial District Judge Kelly Rock.
