With all the talk about the president’s cognitive abilities, it’s important to ask who is really running this country?

July 10 – US Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had an interesting back and forth with Peter Doocy, a Fox News White House correspondent yesterday.

Jean-Pierre had said President Joe Biden is at his sharpest before 8 p.m.

Doocy said, “So say that the Pentagon at some point picks up an incoming nuke. It’s 11pm. Who do you call the First Lady?”

Jean-Pierre said, “He has a team that lets him know of any news that is pertinent and important to the American people. He has someone or that is decided, obviously, with his National Security Council on who gets to tell him that news.”

Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM pointed out, “You think about that question. You’re only good for a couple of hours. You need a nap between your prep sessions for a debate that you failed on. I thought that was a really well staged question for the press head. I mean, you reversed that and they put Kayleigh McEnany (Trump’s press secretary) answering that question that way for Donald Trump, the press would have lost their mind.”

Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “What a terrible answer she gave. I mean, just how detached she is from reality, that on her feet, she couldn’t have come up with a better answer than that. That question is based on Biden’s own words of the last couple weeks. One of those botched radio interviews he did where the campaign gave the questions in advance to the interviewers, Biden pointed out that he needed to get more sleep, that he needed to be asleep by eight o’clock, and then right after the debate, there was other reporting from his campaign that his prime hours for work are 10am to 4pm. Outside of those hours, he’s not as productive. Naturally, of course, this raises a lot of questions. You can almost see these radio and TV ads now writing themselves. Remember that famous ad years ago? Who do you want answering the phone at 3am when the emergency comes in and there’s Biden with his mask on and sleeping? I mean, these are the kind of things that are giving real heartburn to Democrats in Washington.”

Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM asked, “Who? What team? I’d like those people to be identified, please, since it’s not the person that we elected to run things.”

Ryan asked, “Is Hunter on your team? I mean, he’s coming in, happy hours are over, so he’s probably making his way back to the White House.”

The front page of the Wall Street Journal today again is talking about how many people are calling on Biden to end his bid for the presidency in 2024.

Also, George Stephanopoulos has said he doesn’t think Biden can serve another four years.

Barkdoll said, “Of course, this is right after George sat down with him Friday for that interview, and this was an off the cuff, on the street thing. TMZ picked this up. So it may have been more staged than it was random, but nonetheless, Stephanopoulos clearly said, I don’t think he can serve four more years, and I do put some credence to that opinion. I mean, yes, we all could watch the interview. We saw what Biden looked like and said, but presumably Stephanopoulos would have had some small talk with him before and after the interview. He could have seen how the handlers were positioning everything and when I hear him say he doesn’t think he could serve four more years, to me, that’s quite insightful coming from the guy that just sat down with him for an interview.”
