For portions of central PA – your advisor is in effect 7am-9pm. West-Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph expected, especially late this morning through early this evening. The stronger wind gusts will gradually decrease later tonight.
- IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The West-Southwest wind gusts will likely increase again Sunday morning, topping 45 mph for a brief period as a secondary cold front brings true arctic air into the
region, possibly accompanied by a band of dangerous snow squalls and requiring another Wind Advisory.
