19 December 2022- A Waynesboro man is behind bars after allegedly sending sexually explicit text messages to his 13 year old daughter. Eric Gene Ebersole is charged with felony unlawful contact with a minor and felony corruption of minors. Ebersole is in Franklin County Jail on $100,000 bail.
On March 16th of this year, Chambersburg PD received a report that Eric Ebersole was sending sexually explicit messages to his own 13 year old daughter. During a forensic interview with the victim, she allegedly said she did not expect her father to say those things because they were what people said when they were dating.
Court documents show extensive amounts of sexually explicit texts allegedly sent from Ebersole to his daughter which usually focused on her coming of age. Additionally, an image of a penis was also allegedly also sent from Ebersole to the victim, with police records saying that it appeared Ebersole was the one that took the picture.
Ebersole was unable to post bail of $100,000. His preliminary hearing is set for December 27th.
