13 February 2023- A Quincy Township man is looking at charges of fleeing officers and DUI after police chase him at around 80mph at 1am. Anthony James Call is charged with felony fleeing an officer, misdemeanor DUI, and multiple summary traffic offenses. Call is behind bars on $30,000 bail.
Around 1:20am on February 11th, PSP Troopers were on patrol on Wayne Road, Franklin County. In the opposite lane a black sedan passed the patrol car crossing a fog line. Turning around and following, it was discovered that the registration was suspended “type F”, or lack of insurance. After the Trooper pulled behind the car it allegedly accelerated to 80mph. After emergency lights were flipped on the car allegedly pressed his brakes before accelerating again. The car then slowed to 22mph to turn onto Hades Church Road before pulling into a home.
The man was identified then as Anthony James Call, who allegedly admitted to not having a valid driver’s license. Call was allegedly visibly drunk as well as having an open Yuengling tall boy and two Bud Light tall boys in the car. Call was taken into custody and allegedly denied a blood draw request.
Anthony Call is behind bars on $30,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for February 21.
