Waynesboro man accused of grooming, sexual assault of juvenile

24 June 2024- A Waynesboro man is facing numerous charges after allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting a juvenile victim. Paul Andrew Wolfe has been charged with two felony counts of child pornography, felony criminal use of a communication facility, felony contact/communications with a minor- sexual abuse, and misdemeanor corruption of minors. Wolfe is behind bars on $150,000 bail.

Waynesboro PD initially received a child line report of a sexually assaulted and groomed 17 year old victim, following up with the victim and their mother. Officers interviewed both the victim and her mother, with them determining the alleged assault was perpetrated at the home of Paul Wolfe, the man accused of grooming the juvenile for an extended period of time.

Multiple warrants were carried out on Wolfe’s phone, with it allegedly showing over 3,000 text messages between the victim and Wolfe. Some of the text messages, WPD say, were sexual in nature and were images. After an extensive investigation, officers concluded that the pictures shown in the messages were definitively of the juvenile victim solicited by Wolfe.

Paul Wolfe remains behind bars on $150,000 bail.
