Water system maintenance in Chambersburg finishes with boil-water advisory lifted

29 February 2024- Following work to fix valves and pipes in the southern portion of the Borough of Chambersburg, Borough Water Department officials have said that all water coming from taps is safe to drink again.

The following statement is from Chambersburg Borough Deputy Manager Phil Wolgemuth.

Please be advised that the Borough of Chambersburg water system maintenance affecting customers on Progress Road, between Industrial Drive and Lincoln Road, Hamilton Road, Greene Meadow Lane, and Rachel Lane was successfully completed on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. As such, as of 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, the boil water advisory notice was lifted and all affected customers were provided a hand-delivered notice.
