13 September 2023- The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has been informed that a scammer is calling community members claiming to be an “Officer/Deputy Bradley” with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The scammer then tells the would-be victim that they must pay cash/gift cards to them to avoid having an arrest warrant issued for missing a court date.
No Law Enforcement Agency will ask for payment over the phone to take care of warrants or other services.
