Warrant issued for man who allegedly drunk drove a motorcycle on the PA Turnpike then stole a construction truck

12 July 2023- He hasn’t been arraigned yet and there seems to be an active warrant for his arrest, but a Boyertown, PA man is looking at charges involving the theft of a construction truck off the PA Turnpike. Tyler Christian Wisler is charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle, misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor drug possession, misdemeanor driving on suspended license, and four traffic violations.

Pennsylvania State Police of the Newville Turnpike barracks responded to a report of a man walking along I-76EB (PA Turnpike) around 4:20am, wearing a helmet. Troopers checked the area and located a Honda motorcycle that had crashed but found no rider in sight.

Police allegedly found the suspected driver, Tyler Wisler, driving a Hino Attenuator Truck that was parked at a construction site near the original motorcycle crash. The truck was allegedly stolen from Luzerne, PA based construction company Burgette Excavation. Wisler was arrested for DUI, theft, and the previously mentioned charges.

Tyler Wisler is awaiting arraignment before MDJ Plum.
