Veterans Day Celebrations in your area

10 November 2023 – Tomorrow, 11 November 2023, is Veterans Day, a time to celebrate and honor all military veterans and their families, those who serve this country to keep all of us safe. At NewsTalk 103.7FM, we offer our heartfelt gratitude, recognition and sincere appreciation to all our veterans.

Take time this weekend yourself to honor our veterans. Here’s how:

Chambersburg

  • Cumberland Valley 21 Day Retreat Organization will hold a Veterans Day Parade on November 11 at 10:15 a.m. beginning at 5th Avenue.

  • Historic Letterkenny Chapel and Franklin County Veterans and 9/11 Memorial Park will hold a Veterans Day Celebration at 1 p.m. on November 11.

Newville

  • A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on November 11 at 2 p.m. at the Historic Fountain on Big Spring Avenue

Carlisle

  • A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on November 11 at the Historic Courthouse.

Waynesboro

  • The Wayne Band will present a free concert saluting veterans on Sunday, November 12, at noon at the American Legion Post 145, 63 W. Main Street.

Greencastle

  • The Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. November 11 in front of Borough Hall at 60 N. Washington St.

Hagerstown, MD

  • Morris Frock Unit 42’s American Legion Auxiliary hosting their annual Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at the Washington County Courthouse on Saturday, November 11 at 11am.  William L. “Will” Trotter, an Air Force veteran who served in the North American Aerospace Command as a Command-and-Control Operations Officer—and currently American Legion Auxiliary District 8 President—will be the speaker.  Special music honoring all veterans will be presented by the New Horizons Band of Hagerstown beginning at 10:30am.  

Martinsburg, WV

  • The Community Veterans Engagement Board/Crusaders will sponsor a Veterans Day Parade at 2 p.m. November 11 that will run along Queen Street.
