US Marshals, PSP team up to take down wanted Carlisle dealer following incident in Greenvillage

12 December 2023- US Marshals and Pennsylvania State Police worked together in boxing in then chasing a wanted man in the Greenvillage area of Franklin County today. Satcheria McLaughlin is behind bars on $500,000 bail after being charged with felony fleeing an officer, felony flight to avoid trial, five felony counts of criminal mischief damaging property, three felony counts of aggravated assault against an officer, three misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and two traffic violations.

US Marshals and Pennsylvania State Police were notified in the morning of December 12th that a man named Satcheria McLaughlin was in possession of a stolen firearm and was driving a 2023 Ford Transit van on I-81 in Franklin County. McLaughlin had previous felony warrants for possession with intent to distribute, so both Marshals and PSP were dispatched to find him.

Eventually locating him near the intersection of Black Gap Road and Philadelphia Avenue in Greenvillage, US Marshals Service officers boxed McLaughlin’s van in at the intersection. It was at this point that McLaughlin, according to police, tried to bust out of the box by ramming his car into the Marshals’ vehicles. Three of the officers had their vehicles hit, with McLaughlin eventually forcing an opening in the box. The van managed to squeeze through before ramming a parked Lexus SUV, causing severe damage.

McLaughlin then allegedly hopped the curb of where he was boxed in and fled north onto US-11. Troopers and the Marshals Service gave chase, pursuing McLaughlin for around 2 miles. After that time, police found McLaughlin’s two driver’s side tires were flat and a PIT maneuver was conducted. Successful executing it, two more Troopers were able to block in McLaughin’s vehicle again, this time for good.

While trying to take him into custody, PSP say that McLaughlin made several “furtive movements” before he was forcibly removed and taken into custody. In court filings, Troopers say that McLaughlin was carrying a firearm without a license, but no charge of that nature was found. He may be facing additional charges in the near future as a result of this incident.

Satcheria McLaughlin is behind bars on $500,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for December 19th.
