11 September 2023- Chambersburg PD have not announced the arrest of anyone involved in a shooting/shots fired call on Saturday evening, but have put forward a more detailed series of events. Full release is below.
On September 9th, 2023 at 6:45 PM, the Chambersburg Police Department responded to the unit block of Garber St regarding possible gunshots fired, but responding officers did not locate anyone involved in the area at that time. On this date, a victim from the incident sought medical treatment for a gunshot wound and police were contacted.
This is an active investigation. This is an isolated incident and there is believed to be no further danger to the public. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Chambersburg Police Department (717) 264-4131 or submit a tip through crime watch.
