UPDATE: Winter Storm speed limits lifted on major PA highways

16 January 2024- PennDOT has lifted the speed limit and right-lane-only commercial vehicle restrictions placed on major highways in south central Pennsylvania District 8 region comprised of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were reduced yesterday to 45 mph on interstates and other major routes in the region. All speeds are restored to their usual posted limits.

PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
