12 December 2022- Police are still holding a Chambersburg man accused of leading Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputies, PSP and others on a tristate chase down I-81. David R. Bishop is still behind bars on $250,000 bail with his preliminary hearing set for December 20th.
Bishop is listed on the The National Directory of Registered Tax Return Preparers & Professionals website as a certified preparer through The Lancaster Group, LLC. According to Bishop’s LinkedIn, he also owns and runs his own consulting group called DRB Healthcare Consulting.
This is not Bishop’s first DUI. He previously pleaded guilty in Franklin County Courts stemming from a DUI arrest on 8/23/19. Bishop’s BAC was listed on court documents as being .16+, or the highest possible status under the misdemeanor charge. Bishop was placed in IPP, or Intermediate Punishment Program. This gave Bishop a “weekender” status at the Franklin County jail, was given 25 hours of community service, and was place under surveillance for drugs and alcohol.
