06 January 2023- Two Syracuse, New York women are behind bars in Franklin County after police allegedly find over $10,000 in stolen merchandise from Dicks Sporting Goods and other stores. Zareaha Amor Felder and Trinity N Wright are both charged with misdemeanor retail theft, misdemeanor conspiracy for retail theft, and felony receiving stolen property. Zareaha Felder is also charged with misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor marijuana possession, and summary careless driving. Felder’s bail is combined for $30,000, while Wright’s bail was set at $25,000.
Around 6pm on January 5th, Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were called to the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Guilford Township for reports of a retail theft. Two women were allegedly seen entering a dark Chevy Malibu with Pennsylvania registration after leaving the store with merchandise they had not paid for. Police executed a traffic stop on the vehicle and ID’ed the driver as Zareaha Felder and the passenger as Trinity Wright. Requesting consent to search the vehicle, to which the driver Felder allegedly denied consent.
While awaiting a search warrant from Magisterial District Court 39-2-01, police interviewed the manager at Dicks Sporting Goods, who allegedly showed Troopers surveillance videos of two females entering the store with nothing in their hands. The two woman then exited the store ten minutes later with large blue bags with clothing items inside the bags. The two women’s clothing matched Felder and Wright’s when they were taken into custody. The manager later called after the initial interview saying that the value of the items stolen was allegedly $4749.42.
A search warrant was granted by District Court, with Troopers allegedly finding various Nike clothes with tags and security tags still attached. All of the Nike clothes allegedly belonged to Dicks. Additionally, several of the items allegedly came from the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Hagerstown, MD with a value of $785.
Additionally, the vehicle search found several clothing items from GAP, American Eagle, Adidas, and Ugg which still had tags with barcodes on them and no receipts. All the clothes were allegedly found in the same blue bag seen on cameras at Dick’s in Chambersburg. The total value of those other items came in at $4545, for a total value seized totaling $10,079.42.
