Tuesday’s Hagerstown Houses of Worship Tour features a photography contest

20 December 2023- If you’re looking to shake off the Christmas snow in the Hub City very soon, you may have an opportunity to grab some cash as well as take in the beauty of the city. Visit Hagerstown and Washington County is partnering with the Hagerstown Area Religious Council and Downtown Hagerstown to host a walking tour and photography contest at churches and synagogues around the city.

Taking place at 12 total locations on Tuesday, December 26th, the places of worship will be open to the public for free to enjoy the majestic architecture and history right in your backyard. Doors open at 3pm and close at 7pm, although some locations will be closed at 6pm.

Photographers are more than welcomed and actually encouraged. With a deadline of January 10th, 2024 at noon, submit pictures of some of the places of worship to the official contest for the program. Details can be found on the Washington County Arts webpage and prizes are sponsored by Downtown Hagerstown. Winners will also be featured on the 2024 Arts Tour.
