Trump Accepts Republican Nomination For Second Term

WASHINGTON – President Trump is now his party’s official nominee for a second term in the White House.

“My fellow Americans, tonight, with a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I profoundly accept this nomination for president of the United States,” Trump said.

During this fourth day of the Republican National Convention, Trump accepted the nomination from the south lawn of the White House.

His Daughter, Ivanka, introduced him. Then, he walked with his wife, Melania to the stage.

“President Trump is advancing the American values of work and family,” Ivanka said.

Supporters sat closely on the White House lawn while a large group of protestors gathered outside of the event in an attempt to disrupt the president’s speech.
