Troopers say man already in custody on other charges hit with more after becoming belligerent in PSP lobby during release

02 May 2024- A man who was supposed to be on his way out of custody from PSP is now facing more charges following an incident in the agency’s lobby. Antonio Lee Quiros is facing charges of misdemeanor resisting arrest, disorderly conduct unreasonable noise, and summary public drunkenness. At this time, Quiros has not been charged with anything else stemming from why exactly he was already in PSP custody, but those charges are likely pending. His bail was set at $50,000, which he has posted by the help of a bail bondsman.

Troopers say that around 3:30pm on April 30th, Antonio Quiros was already in custody for a separate incident. As Troopers were preparing to coordinate Quiros’ release, he allegedly became combative and belligerent in the lobby of PSP Chambersburg, all the while still being in custody. PSP say they tried multiple times to calm Quiros down but ultimately failed.

Troopers say they had to walk Quiros back to the prisoner bench because he was so loud and disruptive in the lobby, attempting to pull away from handcuffs. During this incident, PSP say that Quiros was still actively drunk in public.

Antonio Quiros is free after posting bail of $50,000.
