Thousands of dollars of copper wire, tools stolen from Shadyside Drive work site

06 February 2024- Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the public’s help after copper wire, tools, and a generator were stolen from a work site in Guilford Township.

Troopers were called to a job site on Shadyside Drive, Guilford Township after numerous items were found to have been stolen the night before. Between 7pm on January 29th and 6am on January 30th, Troopers took a report of the following items being stolen.

  • 250′ 12/2 copper electrical wire, value: $2,500
  • 250′ 14/2 copper electrical wire, value $2400
  • 250′ 12/3 copper electrical wire, value $250
  • 250′ 14/3 copper electrical wire, value $250
  • Honda 220 Watt generator, value $1000
  • DeWalt miter saw, value $700
  • DeWalt cordless impact gun, value $300
  • DeWalt roofing nailer, value $350,
  • DeWalt cordless right angle grinder, value $225
  • Bostitch pneumatic nailer, value $900
  • Chicago reciprocating saw, value $30
  • Porter Cable circular saw, value $80
  • 12″ DeWalt wood cutting miter saw, value $700
  • DeWalt battery charger, value $50
  • DeWalt 20V battery, value $200
  • Paslode battery framing nailer, value $400
  • Paslode battery charger, value $70

Troopers say that these items were stolen from possibly two 2012 Ford Econoline E350 work vans. All items belonged to a Chambersburg area building firm and a Newburg electric firm.
