Third arrest made in $17,700+ theft from Chambersburg Ulta in 2022

14 June 2023- Details remain the same, but another woman has been charged with felony theft after allegedly taking part in a retail theft that saw over $17,700 worth of perfumes and makeup stolen from a Chambersburg Ulta Beauty store in 2022. Kimberly Iesha Smith is charged with felony retail theft and felony receiving stolen property. Smith failed to post bail of $25,000.

According to investigators, four people entered the Ulta Beauty in Chambersburg on July 5th of 2022 and began taking thousands of dollars worth of merchandise off the shelves indiscriminately and putting them into reusable bags. The four women then exited the store without paying. PSP Troopers say that the women may be involved in more retail thefts in the Gettysburg area that same day.

As of publication, three people have been charged in the theft. Kimberly Smith most recently, with Doneisha Anderson being arraigned earlier this week and Tracey Talley arraigned in January. Talley had her bail reduced from $150,000 monetary to $50,000 unsecured and is currently free and awaiting trial. Anderson is free on an combined unsecured bail of $40,000 after being charged in two separate cases. We previously reported on Tristate Alert and News Talk 1037FM that Anderson had allegedly gone back to the very same Ulta and was caught stealing from it.

Kimberly Smith is currently behind bars on $25,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for June 20th.
