June 23 — When inspections following mass shootings show real mishandling of the situation, it
makes a serious tragedy that much worse.

That’s what we’re seeing in the aftermath of the school shooting in Uvalde, TX, that left 19
children and two teachers dead.

The Mayor has not had a briefing on this since the day after the shooting. Parents have said
they haven’t heard a thing since the event, either.

“This is just so sad,” said attorney Clint Barkdoll. “There’s just no other way to put it. This thing
is really starting to look like a cover up, the more evidence that’s coming out about this.”
Police officials are calling it an abject failure in terms of the performance of the Uvalde School
Police Department.

The police allowed about an hour and 14 minutes to pass until they went into the classroom
where the shooter was. Some of the children were calling 911 while the police were right outside
their door.

It wasn’t until federal border agents showed up that anyone actually went after the shooter.
The school police chief has since been suspended.

A number of people would like to see whatever hearings arise from the information be made
public, so that this horrible tragedy could be seen as a cautionary tale and we could actually
learn something from it.

Barkdoll said, “There are a lot of questions that need to be answered here. I do think you’re
going to see public hearings on this. I think you’re going to see a lot of other disciplinary actions
