Spring Run man in jail on $75,000 bond after domestic incident

22 January 2024- Felony charges are being levied against a Spring Run man following an alleged assault over the weekend. Nicky Lee Strait is charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment. Strait is behind bars today on $75,000 bail.

Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were called in to assist with an interview regarding an aggravated assault investigation around 3:30am on January 21st. During the interview with this unnamed person, Troopers say they alleged that Nicky Strait had strangled another person. This interview was concluded, with Troopers then moving to interview the victim.

That victim was interviewed some time after the initial incident, with police saying that they were told sometime between 8pm and 9pm on January 16th, Nicky Strait had strangled the victim during an altercation. Strait was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.

While speaking with the victim, Troopers say that they saw aged abrasion marks on the right side of their neck, which was eventually confirmed to be from that same incident. Photographs were not taken of these marks, however, at the behest of the victim.

Nicky Strait is behind bars on $75,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for January 30th.
