03 August 2022- Pennsylvania State Police arrest Shippensburg man after he allegedly fired a gun into the air after threating his girlfriend and child. Bruce Lee Campbell is charged with seven misdemeanors, including making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment. Campbell is behind bars in Cumberland County after failing to post $100,000 bail.

Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a home in Shippensburg to reports of a 38 year old male threatening suicide with a gun. After police arrived on scene, contact was made with the female victim and his daughter. Campbell’s girlfriend allegedly told police that Campbell had pointed a revolver at his head threatening suicide. After that, Campbell allegedly pointed the gun at the two victims, threatening that he would shoot both of them and then himself.

The victims fled out of the rear of their home, to which Campbell allegedly followed then and fired his gun into the air. Campbell allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended about 1/4 of a mile away from the home.

Campbell is behind bars after failing to post bail of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for August 10.
