29 March 2023- A Scotland man is behind bars after allegedly admitting to Pennsylvania State Troopers that he had sex with a girl he thought was around 12 years old. Colby Dylan Barges is behind bars on $100,000 bail after being charged with felony rape of a child, felony sexual assault, two counts of felony corruption of minors, and two counts of misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old.
On February 28th, Police were alerted to a case of a man, Colby Barges, and the relationship he was having with an 11 year old girl. The person who alerted Police also allegedly said that she had a picture of Barges kissing the girl and that she knew she had hickeys on her body.
When the victim was taken to Meritus Hospital for an exam, she allegedly said “it would be called rape”. The victim allegedly said that 3 of 4 weeks ago she went into the bathroom and he followed her when the assault occurred.
Barges was interviewed that day about the situation, to which he allegedly admitted that while they were at Greene Township Park they had sex in the bathroom. Barges also allegedly admitted to knowing that the victim was around 12 years of age when he had sex with her.
Barges is behind bars on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for April 11th.
