Saint Thomas man denied bail after allegedly breaking into ex’s house multiple times, violating bail

30 June 2023- After allegedly violating numerous conditions of his non-monetary bail from earlier this year, a St Thomas man is denied bail by Judge Glenn Kenneth Manns of Chambersburg. Jarrett D Blades is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor assault, and summary harassment. Blades also has a case pending in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas involving felony criminal trespassing- break into structure.

On June 20th around 7:52pm, Chambersburg PD were dispatched to a home on Ohio Avenue in the borough for a disturbance. The caller allegedly told dispatchers that a neighbor was yelling for help and telling someone to get out of her apartment. When responding to the call, police were alerted that the perpetrator had possibly left the home.

When police arrived on scene, they spoke to the female victim who said that she was yelling for help. The victim allegedly told police that her ex-boyfriend Jarrett Blades had showed up to her apartment and after some discussion about having him leave he forced his way in. Blades then allegedly threw the victim on the kitchen floor, held her down, and stepped on her head and neck with his foot. Police allegedly observed a visible injury to the victim’s neck. Additionally, police were allegedly shown a Facebook message sent a few hours prior telling Blades not to come back to her apartment.

Jarrett Blades is behind bars on bail denied. His preliminary hearing for the latest case is set for July 6th.
