Rep Joyce supports FAA reauthorization, says rural airports are vital moving forward

19 July 2023- Congressman John Joyce, M.D. spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of rural airports as the House prepares to consider H.R.3935, the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act. This legislation would reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through FY2028 and support airport development, oversight, and operations programs.

“For the past two and a half years, we’ve seen the consequences of failed aviation policy by the Biden Administration – leading to record numbers of delays and cancellations for travelers across the country,” said Congressman Joyce. “These delays are the result of a Department of Transportation that has failed to put in place systems that support our airlines and airports. The Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act will provide the reforms necessary to support air-travelers and ensure that the Department of Transportation addresses its faults in preventing on-time arrivals.”
