Quincy, Quincy, Quincy… Next Up PSP

QUINCY TWP – Thursday, 24 August 2023, Quincy Township staff  detected a discrepancy in utility bill payments received versus funds on hand during a routine (viewing of) accounting.  Pennsylvania State Police were promptly notified and the responsible individual identified.

Also from Quincy Township, Supervisor Lee E. Daywalt promptly revoked his resignation from the Board of Supervisors effective immediately. The press release providing this information noted the revocation was “…to protect the residents…”

In addition from the press release it should be noted that both Supervisors Alan Peck and Lee Daywalt along with Attorney Jason Piatt and remaining staff “acted immediately to secure the assets of the Township and eliminate threat of further actions contrary to law” and “are cooperating fully with law enforcement”. The township office will be closed until further notice and any water/sewer payments can be dropped at the office’s night deposit box.
