Quincy man behind bars for owning two firearms as former felon

17 July 2023- A tip leads Pennsylvania State Police to the home of a Waynesboro man who was allegedly in possession of illegally owned firearms. Robert Lee Fann is behind bars on $75,000 bail after being charged with misdemeanor possession of a firearm prohibited.

On July 13th around 3:20pm, Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the home of Robert Fann after they had received a tip that Fann was in possession of a loaded firearm. Fann had previously been convicted of manufacture of a controlled substance. Troopers talked with Fann’s wife, who allegedly told police her husband had a firearm in the residence. After gaining permission to search the home they allegedly found a .22 caliber Savage Arms Mark II bolt action rifle and a 12 gauge pump action shotgun.

Police talked to Fann after he was formally detained, with him allegedly telling police that he was given the shotgun for payment of a debt. The .22 caliber rifle was allegedly purchased at Walmart, with Fann allegedly saying it was used for shooting snakes.

Robert Fann is behind bars on $75,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for July 25th.
