PSP Roundup: Vandalism on Mountain Road, assault arrests, more

18 June 2024- A 75 year old Fort Loudon man is facing charges today after PSP were initially dispatched to a harassment call earlier in June. Troopers were called to a location on Fort Loudon Road in Montgomery Township around 11am on June 13th for a harassment call against that elderly man, with Troopers determining that the victim, a 36 year old Mercersburg woman, had been harassed. The name of the Fort Loudon man has not been released.

A West Virginia woman is facing assault charges after an incident in Greencastle at the beginning of June. Troopers say that Alyssa Weinhold, 23, of Gerrardstown, WV was engaged in a physical altercation with the victim by striking her multiple times in the face. The victim, a 21 year old Greencastle woman, PSP say had a bruised and swollen lip, a cut to that lip, and abrasions to the head consistent with the victim’s hair being violently pulled. This victim did, however, decline medical treatment on scene but charges were subsequently filed against Weinhold.

PSP are investigating thefts from a vehicle on Pine Drive in Guilford Township last month. Troopers say that at least one pack of Marlboro Light cigarettes were stolen from a 2018 Subaru. Troopers also list a 2019 Honda CRV being involved in the incident, which occurred around 4:30am on May 23rd. Anyone with information on the incident should contact PSP Chambersburg.

A vandalism investigation is underway by members of the Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg after a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado was damaged earlier this month. Troopers were called to a location on Mountain Road, Letterkenny Township for a reported vandalism. Found at the location, PSP say, was a Silverado with its driver’s side rear tire damaged as well as scratched paint on the bed of the vehicle. The tire was valued at $175, with the damage to the paint being logged at $500. PSP Continues to investigate.
