PSP Roundup: Two people given Narcan after double overdose on Scotland Campus, more

03 June 2024- PSP are investigating the theft of a handgun from an unlocked vehicle in Antrim Township last month. Troopers say that a black Taurus G2C 9mm handgun was taken from a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado sometime between 9pm on May 23rd to 9am on May 24th. The victim, a 25 year old male, had the gun stolen from his unlocked vehicle on Lynn Drive in Antrim Township. Anyone with information should contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg.

A Chambersburg man is facing charges of DUI on a combination of drugs and alcohol after a traffic stop on May 14th on 2nd Street in the Borough. Troopers say they pulled over 24 year old Abdul Musah on May 14th for summary traffic violations. Upon speaking to Musah and conducting field sobriety tests, Troopers arrested the man. Charges are pending through MDJ 39-3-04.

Charges of DUI are being levied against a Shippensburg man after a May stop in the borough of Chambersburg. Troopers say Jamie Worthington, 39, showed signs of inebriation and was subsequently arrested for DUI on alcohol. He was housed at the Franklin County jail due to having no fixed address. Worthington’s license has been suspended, with the newest instance included, a total of seven times in Pennsylvania.

A double overdose on the Scotland Campus luckily seems to have been resolved with no deaths. Troopers say they responded to the campus in Greene Township on May 28th for two unresponsive individuals who were not breathing. A further investigation determined they had overdosed on an unknown substance but were quickly given doses of naloxone, or Narcan. They were able to be revived on scene and taken to Chambersburg Hospital for additional treatment.
