PSP Roundup: Troopers investigating theft of over $4,000 in items from Greencastle shed

21 May 2024- Pennsylvania State Police are currently looking for the owner of an ebike that was found at the Sheetz on Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg. Troopers say that a Ridstar H20 black electrical bike was found on the property after being left there for several days. Staff at the store say that the bike was there from about 5:30am on May 13th to 9:40am on May 15th.

Anyone with information on the ownership of the ebike should contact PSP Chambersburg and reference case number PA24-629179.


PSP are investigating a chase in Antrim Township that took place last month involving a Tesla and Troopers. PSP say that an unnamed, 49 year old Hagerstown man was arrested following a chase on April 18th around 10:15pm.

That chase reportedly went down McDowell Road and Hollowell Church Road.


Felony DUI charges are being levied against a Chambersburg man accused of a number of driving under the influence offenses in only a few months. Troopers say they stopped Armando Velez-Esquilin, 33 of Chambersburg, around 2am on May 12th for numerous traffic violations on I-81.

Troopers say that Velez-Esquilin, driving a 2002 Honda Accord, was arrested for DUI after “demonstrating additional signs of impairment”. In court reports, PSP Troopers say that Velez-Esquilin had been convicted of three previous offenses of DUI in the past 10 years and was additionally driving on a DUI suspended license.


Troopers are investigating the theft of over $4,000 worth of items from a shed in Greencastle last month.

PSP were dispatched to a shed located on Sherwood Drive in Antrim Township around 9:50am on April 4th. During a search, Troopers say that the victim had a number of items stolen, including a five drawer Craftsman tool box, $1,500 worth of Craftsman tools, a Craftsman cordless drill, a Yoleny extra large inflatable tent, two 10’x20′ commercial EZ Up Heavy Duty canopies, a Sportsman 3000 watt generator, a wood burning kit, a two-pot coffee maker, and a 175 count hot dog and bun steamer.

The combined total of nine lost items came to $4,065. PSP continue to investigate but if you have any information on the incident, contact PSP-Chambersburg and reference case number PA24-438062.


A 46 year old Greencastle man is facing charges of access device fraud after allegedly taking $3,000 from a family member. Troopers have not listed the man’s name, but say that he had withdrawn $3,000 from a family member’s bank account, the account belonging to a 69 year old Greencastle woman. Troopers have charged the man but continue to investigate.
