PSP Roundup: Stolen then dumped trailer, theft of tools in Mercersburg, more

02 July 2024- A Fort Loudon woman is being charged with marijuana possession after a stop on Mercersburg Road last month. Pennsylvania State Police say they were conducting a patrol check around 10:49pm on June 30th when they stopped Kelcey Hann, 37, of Fort Loudon. During the check, Hann was reportedly found to be in possession of marijuana after the check in the 3300 Block of Mercersburg Road in Peters Township. She has since been charged.

Shoplifting charges are being levied against an Elverson, PA man after thefts at a McConnellsburg area Family Dollar store. Troopers were alerted on May 31st to a theft of a gallon of milk and Scott brand blue shop towels from the Family Dollar on Buchanan Train in Ayr Township. Allen Keesey, 42, has subsequently been charged.

An altercation between a 51 year old woman and 17 year old juvenile boy has lead to charges against the former. PSP Troopers were dispatched to Bunker Court in Hamilton Township around 1:33pm on June 12th for a reported altercation between Lori Ann Thorne and the juvenile.

During the altercation, Troopers say the victim tried to leave the residence during which he was grabbed and pushed by Thorne, resulting in a broken wooden rack and dislodged screen door. Charges of harassment were filed against Thorne.

PSP are investigating the theft of a reciprocating saw from a shop in Mercersburg earlier this year. PSP have just now released information relating to an April 26th theft of a Milwaukee Fuel Reciprocating saw from the Ace Hardware in Mercersburg. The price of that saw was found to be $199.

PSP say that a 2010 Mazda was involved in the theft and continue to investigate. Anyone with information on this incident should contact PSP Chambersburg, reference case number PA 2024-542536.

PSP are looking for the public’s assistance after a trailer was stolen and later dumped at a different location last month. Troopers say that on June 14th around 7pm, they were called to a location on Hill Road, Antrim Township for a stolen vehicle.

Through an investigation, Troopers say they learned that an unknown actor or actors were operating a black Ram 1500 and removed a 2012 BWise 16′ car trailer. The trailer was later found and recovered after being abandoned.
