PSP Roundup: Harley rider air lifted to York following crash in St Thomas, more

03 August 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are looking into a reported criminal mischief involving a vehicle owned by LZ Logistics of Chambersburg. Troopers responded around midnight on July 12th to the intersection of Gilbert Road and Bear Valley Road in Letterkenny Township for a reported criminal mischief. When they arrived, Troopers reportedly found a broken windshield to a vehicle. Police do not have a suspect named as of time of release.

An evening crash in St Thomas Township earlier this week ends with the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle being life flighted to York Trauma Center. Police say that a 42 year old Chambersburg man was riding on his Harley-Davidson XL1200C around 9:50pm on Lincoln Way near Pioneer Drive when the driver of a Honda Civic slowed down to make a turn. The motorcycle then made contact with the Civic, with its rider being thrown off.

The driver of the Honda Civic was seen by bystanders leaving the scene on Pioneer Drive. Police say that the driver of the motorcycle was taken by air transport to York Hospital and his passenger, a 44 year old Chambersburg woman, was taken by ambulance to Fulton Medical Center.

Police have not released information about the driver of the Honda Civic if there is any at all. Anyone with information should contact PSP-Chambersburg.
