PSP Roundup: 13 year old cited for harassment, possible charges for runaway found with a gun

13 February 2024- A 13 year old girl is facing a citation for harassment after a fight in Greene Township earlier this year. Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were dispatched to a location on Black Gap Road around 7:30pm on January 2nd for an incident involving two teenages.

After police arrived, it was determined that one of the 13 year old girls should be cited for harassment due to the incident.

PSP are holding a handgun found in the area of the 900 block of Social Island Road, Guilford Township last month. Troopers say they responded there for a found black and silver Taurus 1911 valued at $400. That gun was turned in just after 10:30am on January 28th.

Anyone with information on the gun should contact PSP Chambersburg.

Charges are pending for a juvenile that was originally filed as having run away from home. This unnamed person, PSP say, was found around 7pm on February 6th on Castlegreen Drive, Antrim Township.

Charges will be filed, though, due to PSP allegedly finding a firearm on the juvenile when they were picked up. Additionally, PSP say that the firearm was concealed at that time.

A Smithsburg man is facing DUI charges following a crash in Quincy Township last month. Troopers say that they were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the 8000 block of Old Forge Road, Quincy Township around 11:45pm on January 21st.

Through the course of the investigation, PSP say they determined Anthony Lester Jr, 40, of Smithsburg was drunk behind the wheel of his 1992 Chevrolet Suburban. Charges have been filed since.
