PSP release new surveillance footage of Chambersburg area laundromat robbery

24 January 2024- The Pennsylvania State Police Troop H – Chambersburg Barracks responded to the Countryside Coin Laundry located at 3200 Lincoln Way West, Hamilton Township, Franklin County on Thursday September 28, 2023 at 0703 hours for the report of an inactive burglary.

The laundromat appears to have a constant problem with people breaking in and stealing quarters, breaking machines, and burglarizing the building. PSP were able to track down and arrest a man in April after he had just finished burglarizing the cleaners, with them later allegedly catching a Mercersburg couple in August trying to steal from the location.

Upon arrival, Troopers found that the pictured male suspect had made entry to the Laundromat prior to 0400 hours on September 28, 2023. The suspect was disguised in a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, wearing a black ski mask that covered his face, blue jeans and brown cowboy boots with the jeans tucked inside and a had a black and blue backpack with him.

Once inside the business the suspect attempted to break into the ATM and TRT Redemption Kiosk for the Pennsylvania Skill games of chance machines by using an axe and crowbar. Substantial damage was observed on both machines.

PSP has just recently made these pictures available for the public through a public release.
