06 January 2023- A Bedford County woman is pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Ayr Township yesterday after her vehicle crashed into multiple road signs and a tree. Carol Shaffer was pronounced deceased by EMS and PSP after a 7:30am crash on the 12000 block of Lincoln Highway.
Police say that only one vehicle was involved when Shaffer’s 2019 Chevy Equinox was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Highway. Shaffer’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and hit two reflective road markers before eventually hitting a tree, coming to an uncontrolled rest.
Next-of-kin were notified as to Shaffer’s passing. Carol Shaffer was 70 years old and a resident of Buffalo Mills, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
