PSP looking for man who allegedly stole $11k in cash and 15-20 firearms

UPDATE: The Pennsylvania State Police arrested David Boyer, on January 10, 2024. He is incarcerated in the Dauphin County Prison.


03 January 2024- The Pennsylvania State Police Troop H – Lykens Station, is investigating the theft of U.S. currency and multiple firearms from a residence located on Sheetz Road in Wayne Township, Dauphin County. On 12/22/2023, the victim reported $11,000 and 15 to 20 shotguns and rifles were stolen from a safe in the residence. 37-year-old David Boyer was identified as a suspect.

Boyer was residing with the victim at the time of the theft and was observed with the key to the safe earlier in the week. On the day of the theft, Boyer informed the victim he was not returning to the residence and has not been located since.

Three of the stolen firearms were identified as a Remington model 760, 30-06 pump action rifle equipped with a 6X Bushnell scope, a Winchester model 94, 30-30 lever action rifle, and a Marlin Firearms Company model 24G, 12-gauge pump action shotgun. Boyer is prohibited from possessing firearms and an arrest warrant has been entered.

He is known to frequent the areas of Duncannon, Perry County, and Lebanon, Lebanon County, and may be operating a gray 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee displaying Pennsylvania registration MHG8506.
