PSP investigating multiple vehicle thefts in Franklin County

23 February 2023- Pennsylvania State Police remain busy as they announce multiple investigation into stolen vehicles. Neither of the incidents have publicly available suspects at time of publication.

Police were dispatched to Old Mill Road in Southampton Township on January 2nd to reports of a stolen vehicle. Speaking with the elderly victim, she allegedly told police someone took her 2000 Silver Ford F350. Police entered the car as stolen, but do not have any leads as of the announcement date. The investigation into the theft, however, is ongoing.

Pennsylvania State Police were also dispatched to Forrester’s Farm Equipment on Orchard Road in Greene Township for reports of a stolen vehicle. This vehicle, however, was not outright stolen but rather taken by deception. The unknown actor allegedly used a fake check to purchase a 2022 Intimidator UTV and made off with the vehicle before it was discovered the check was phony. Pennsylvania State Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact PSP-Chambersburg.
