31 August 2023- Another scam and theft targeting the elderly has been found in Franklin County, resulting in the theft of thousands of dollars from a Chambersburg couple.
Police were dispatched to a home on Heather Drive in Guilford Township some time after the 31st of July, 2023. When Troopers arrived, the spoke to an 87 year old male victim and an 83 year old female victim. Somehow, thieves had stolen a total of $3480 from the victims in monthly increments of $290. All charges were made through their bank accounts.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and PSP Chambersburg Troopers ask that anyone with information on the incident should contact them at (717) 264-5161.
