25 May 2023- The Pennsylvania State Police Troop H, Carlisle Station, is coordination with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the Cumberland County Prison will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint in Cumberland County on Saturday, May 27th.
Sobriety checkpoints are utilized for police to detect and deter impaired drivers and to remove them from the road. The goal of the Pennsylvania State Police is to reduce the number of DUI-related crashes and injuries.
Be a responsible driver and if you are under the influence: DO NOT DRIVE
- Plan your safe ride home before you consume any alcoholic beverages, choose a non-drinking friend as a designated driver.
- If you drink, do not drive for any reason. Call a ride-hailing service, or a sober friend.
- If you’re hosting a party where alcohol will be served, make sure all guests leave with a sober driver.
