Portion of Antietam Street closed beginning today as contractors build Hub City Garage

06 November 2023- On Monday, November 6th, work crews from Callas Contractors and their subcontractors will be delivering and assembling a large crane that will be used to erect the Hub City Garage. To provide space for the crane and the trucks that will be delivering the pre-cast concrete beams and panels, a street closure will be required.

Therefore, beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday, Antietam Street will be closed to through traffic between Potomac Street and Summit Avenue; local traffic will still be able to access the District Court and Rochester Place. Detour routes will be posted to direct motorists around the closure. Motorists will encounter cones, barricades, detour signs, and other traffic control devices. The street will remain closed continuously until mid-January.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this block of W. Antietam Street while the closure is in effect, but will be able to respond to service calls in this block.

Please contact the Engineering Department at 301-739-8577, extension 125 if there are any questions regarding this advisory.
