Police arrest man for 2021 sale of Oxy to CI in Mercersburg

14 June 2023- A Mercersburg is finally arraigned on felony charges after allegedly selling oxy to a Franklin County Drug Task Force confidential informant. Brandon Alan Hege is charged with felony possession with intent to distribute and felony criminal use of a communications facility. Hege is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000.

In late 2021, authorities were notified by a confidential informant they could buy oxycodone pills from a person in Mercersburg by the name of Brandon Hege. A date was worked out for sale that was eventually monitored by police.

On December 9th, 2021, the confidential informant met with Brandon Hege in the presence of members of the Franklin County Drug Task Force. Hege allegedly sold the drugs to the CI from his 1987 Chevy Camaro. Police were able to run plates on the vehicle, which was subsequently found to be registered to Hege. After the sale, Hege allegedly drove directly past the police and officers were able to confirm the driver of the Camaro to be Hege.

The CI again met with police after the sale and turned over the drugs to them. Additionally, the CI allegedly gave police his phone conversations with Hege over text.

Police describe the pills as light green with M and 15 on them, which was eventually confirmed to be Oxycodone Hydrochloride 15mg. They were then later sent to Pennsylvania State Police’s Regional Lab for testing.

Hege is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000. His preliminary hearing is set for June 20th.
