Philly man arrested in Shippensburg for allegedly walking into multiple random apartments

08 February 2023- A Philadelphia man is behind bars in Cumberland County today after police allegedly find him walking into multiple apartments that didn’t belong to him. Keanu Lacroix Dunn is charged with felony criminal trespassing and misdemeanor loitering/prowling at night. He is currently being held behind bars in Cumberland County on $49,000 bail.

On Tuesday, February 7th around 6:30pm Shippensburg Police were called to an apartment on East Burd Street for reports of an active burglary. At the time, police allegedly were told a younger man in a black hoodie had broken into an apartment twice and was currently on the property. Police then the caller as well as a number of other people on the premises. They allegedly told police that the man had been in and around the property over the past week, including walking into one apartment on February 2nd at around 9:30 at night while the resident was home. After a brief conversation, the man allegedly left but the renter told police she had never met the person before. Another tenant told police that the same man had been in his apartment that same day earlier while he was home. Assuming he was a friend of a roommate, the man allegedly left an hour later but after identifying himself as Keanu Dunn. It was only after the fact everyone realized nobody knew him.

Around 6:20pm on the day of the arrest, Dunn allegedly tried to get into one of the apartments through the back entrance. He was later apprehended after police searched the area.

Dunn is behind bars on $49,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for February 15th.
