Pa. coffee company to be featured on HGTV

HONESDALE—A Poconos-area coffee shop will be featured on a popular HGTV show.

Black & Brass Coffee Roasting Co. owners Travis Rivera and his wife Cathleen will team up with “Self-Made Mansions” host Clinton Kelly to leverage the success of the coffee company to buy the home of their dreams.

The Black & Brass mission is to create value and cultivate joy. With a community that spans the globe, Black & Brass Coffee Roasting Company uses the highest quality of chemical-free, organically grown beans and, they say, the most sustainable growing and milling processes on earth.

Their coffee beans are roasted on site, milk and cream is produced from local farmers, and pastries are baked locally. Black & Brass operates two cafes in Honesdale and one in Waymart. Packaged coffees and teas are available online.

In the “Self-Made Mansions” series season 1, episode 6, “Hometown Heroes,” along with a local realtor, lifestyle expert Kelly will show the couple three potential properties in the Poconos to help the self-made entrepreneurs and creative geniuses find the home of their dreams after striking it rich.

A portion of the episode will be filmed on location at the coffee company’s picturesque waterfall site.

The episode will air Friday at 8 p.m. on HGTV.
