Over 50 Child porn charges levied against Waynesboro man

07 December 2023- A Waynesboro man is facing 51 total charges stemming from an alleged series of photographs and videos of child pornography being uploaded to a cloud storage site. Jason Michael Browall is charged with 50 felony counts of child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communications facility. He is currently behind bars on $400,000 bail.

The Office of the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section was notified in January of 2023 of a cybertip completed by Synchronoss that 10 files of child pornography were uploaded with a telephone number and email address associated with Jason Browall of Waynesboro. Police reviewed the images and confirmed them all to be child sexually exploitive material.

Search warrants were carried out against the GMail address associated with Browall, allegedly showing records from Verizon and IP addresses associated with Waynesboro, PA. Additionally, search warrants carried out against Synchronoss’ account associated with Browall showed approximately 11 images of child sexually exploitative materials of children aged about 4-12 years old.

A search warrant was executed on Browall’s home he shared in Waynesboro on December 5th, with him being questioned about why they were there.

During questioning, Browall allegedly confirmed nobody else used his cell phone nor his laptop. A search of Browall’s phone allegedly showed at least 50 files of child pornography involving prepubescent minors. Additionally, Browall’s phone also contained the same email and number associated with the Synchronoss cloud drive.

Browall is behind bars on $400,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for December 12th.
