12 September 2023- You may be looking at over half a year’s accumulation of junk, documents, and half-used prescriptions in your home, which REALLY should get resolved before winter sets in. The good news is you’re in luck as the Washington County Sherriff’s Office is set to hold a disposal event at the end of this month.
The Office, per a release, is hosting the event at the Robinwood Medical Center Silver Parking Lot from 9am to 1pm on September 23rd or until the shred truck is full.
Anyone who wants to “properly dispose of sensitive documents and unwanted medications” can do so in one location all on the same day. The Office, however, specifies they are no longer able to accept “sharps”, or many needle products.
The shredding service is for residential/personal documents only, with a maximum of three document boxes per household.
Sheriffs also will be accepting donations (but are not required) for the “Shop with a Sheriff” program, which benefits local children in need during the holiday season.
