Newburg man killed after crashing bike on I-81 over weekend, struck by tractor trailer

08 July 2024- A Newburg man is deceased following a single vehicle accident that crossed the interstate in Franklin County on Saturday. Pennsylvania State Police say that Mark Cramer Jr, 33, of Newburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene of a single vehicle crash that occurred around 1:30am on Saturday, July 6th.

PSP were called to the scene of a crash on I-81 southbound near mile marker 6.7 in Antrim Township on Saturday and determined that Cramer’s 2020 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited was initially traveling in the left lane of the highway. Cramer reportedly lost control of his vehicle and went into the center median on the vehicle’s side. This is when Cramer reportedly became separated from the bike and thrown across the median.

When Cramer came to a rest, he was allegedly in the left lane of travel on the northbound side, causing him to be hit by a passing tractor trailer. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
