13 June 2023- The Hagerstown Aviation Museum will host an Open Airplane Day on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, from 9AM until 4PM in our newly renovated Dome Hangar. This will be an opportunity to see the recent renovations of the original 1943 Fairchild test flight hangar. The museums newly acquired RC-26B Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance airplane is also on display.
Other historic aircraft have been acquired and will be on the way to the museum very soon. Exciting arrivals and new displays may happen at any time now. Weather permitting the museums two PT 19 WW II trainers will be available for experience rides.
The museum, located in part of the former Fairchild Aircraft facility, is adjacent to the Hagerstown Regional Airport. Entry to the event will be through the Basore Drive gate; signs will be posted to guide attendees.
