19 July 2023- National Night Out keeps getting bigger 40 years on! The program was designed to bring the community together so they can interact with law enforcement to build bridges. More and more communities are taking part in it and the festivities keep getting bigger. This will be an updated list with communities near you and their national night out festivities!
Franklin County, PA:
- Washington Township Police Dept
- 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Lowes Parking Lot, 12925 Washington Township Blvd in Rouzerville
- WTPD will have emergency vehicle displays, big rigs, games, food vendors, Wellspan Wellflight Helicopter, and more!
- Chambersburg PD
- 5pm-7pm at Memorial Park, 1 Washabaugh Way in Chambersburg
- CPD wants you to challenge an officer to corn hole, see their K9s Mattis and Drogo, and see the Wellspan Helicopter land at the Park!
- Waynesboro PD
- 6pm-8pm at Memorial Park in Waynesboro
- WPD wants you to stop down and see them, the Alexander Hamilton Library, the Bureau of Forestry, the Waynesboro EMS, Fire, Franklin County Sheriff’s Dept, Senator Doug Mastriano, Representative Paul Schemel, and more!
- Shippensburg PD:
- 6-8pm at Shippensburg PD Parking Lot, 60 W Burd Street
- Come out to enjoy time with SPD and activities like fingerprinting, snacks & refreshments being served, public safety demonstrations and more
- Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg Barracks
- 6-8pm at the Greene Township Park, 996 Elevator Street, Scotland
- Come enjoy food, music, a dunk tank, and hang out with your local police, fire, EMS, and tow personnel
Cumberland County, PA
- Newville Borough PD
- 6-8pm around the Newville Fountain on West Big Spring Avenue
- NPD invites you to meet law enforcement, fire, and EMS to see their equipment, get some free food, and grab some back-to-school supplies!
- Shippensburg PD:
- 6-8pm at Shippensburg PD Parking Lot, 60 W Burd Street

Washington County, MD
- Maryland State Police
- MSP is set to join multiple different municipalities at Veterans Park in Smithsburg, Shafer Park in Boonsboro, Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport, and Widmeyer Memorial Park in Hancock
- Hagerstown Police – Fairgrounds Park 5p-8p
- This year’s event features food, fun, exhibits, activities, and of course–our annual backpack giveaway! This event happens rain or shine and is totally FREE of charge!
