UPDATE (04/17): A GoFundMe has been set up by the family of the injured and deceased. According to the organizer Norma Salguero of Frederick, MD, the deceased was identified as Claudia Garcia Flores.
The Garcia Flores’ are described as Father Efrain Santiago, and children Valeria, Anderson, and Angela. Efrain Santiago is noted to be in serious condition at the hospital and was in a coma at time of writing.

UPDATE (7am 04/15): Pennsylvania State Police have announced one person is pronounced deceased as a result of the accident. The name of that person has not been released. Police say that the driver of a blue Toyota Camry that was traveling westbound on Lincoln Way East towards the borough of Chambersburg when a white Dodge Ram 1500 travelled East on Lincoln Way East.
The Camry tried to turn onto the Southbound ramp of I-81 and was struck by the Ram 1500 on its back passenger side panel. The Camry came to an uncontrolled rest in the intersection while the Ram lost control and rolled multiple times before coming to a rest on the other side of the intersection.
As a result of the accident, the adult female passenger of the Camry who was seated in the back seat was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and three other passengers from the Camry were transported to multiple hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Dodge Ram was additionally transported to the hospital.

CHAMBERSBURG – On 14 April 2023 at approximately 10pm Squad 41, Engine 43, Traffic 44 and multiple EMS units responded to a serious accident on Lincoln Way East at Interstate 81.
Reports to NEWS TALK 1037FM note that at least one person has died as result of the accident.
